Examination Rules and Regulations



Reporting time:

-Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination venues unless they are invited to do so by the invigilators.

-Candidates must be sitted 15 minutes before the commencement of the paper.

-Candidates who are late will not be given extra time.

-Candidates who are more than 30 minutes late are to report to the General Office.



Seating and Conduct:

-Candidates are to be seated according to the seating plan issued ny the school.

-Candidates are not to leave their seats unless permission has been granted by the invigilator.

-Candidates are encouraged to visit the toliet before entering the examination centre.

-Candidates will have to raise their hands if they need to communicate with the invigliator.

-Candidates are not to talk when they are in the examination centre.

Note

-Any form of communication(verbal and non-verbal) between candidates in the examination centre will be deemed as a dishonest act.



Attire And Grooming

-Students are to be properly attired for the examination.

-Students who are not properly attired or without proper grooming

(e.g coloured shoes/hair , lack of name tag) may be barred from sitting for the paper.

-Sudents who need the time to source for the correct attire or address thier grooming

(e.g school badge/socks , hairpins ,fingernails) will not be given addition time.



Items In The Examination Centre



Watches

-Students are strongly advised to bring theor watches to the examination centre as they would to the examination centre as they would not have access to their handphone clocks during the examination.

Writing instruments

-Candidates are required to bring their own writing instruments.

-Candidates should use only blue or black ink for writing.

-Pencils may used for maps and diagrams only.

-Candidates are NOT ALLOWED to use correction fluid/tape and highlighter.

-Pencil case are to be clear and transparent.

(Students may use clear plastic bags or ziplock bags).

-Pencil cases are to be left on the floor.

Mathematical/drawing instruments

-Candidates are required to bring their own mathematical instruments such as calculator, set-squares,protractors and rulers which should be placed on the table.



Permited dictionaries or texts

-When the use of dictionaries(Including electronic dictionaries)or text is permitted in the examination candidates must ensure that only approved dictionaries(one copy) and texts are

brought to the examination room.

-These dictionaries or text must be freed from any notes or marginal annotation.

-Seperate pieces of papers, such as post-its and tape flags are not allowed.

-No critical works, teachers' notes, study notes, or any other 'secondary material' of any kind should brought into the examination room.



Note

Candidates who contravene the regulations on the use of dictionaries and texts are liable to the same penalty at those who are found guilty of dishonesty or malpractice in the examination.

-Candidates are NOT ALLOWED to borrow anything from anybody.



ITEMS ON THE CANDIDATE'S DESK

Only the following items are allowed on the candidates desks :

-Student's identity document (e.g Student Pass)

Students without an identity document are to report to the General Office for verification of identity for the day of the examination.

-Examination papers provided by the invigilators

-Writing and mathematical/drawing instruments



Note

-Before the start of the paper,candidates are to check that they do not have any unauthorized materials in their possession.

-Candidates found with unauthorized materials in their possession in the examination centre will be deemed as having committed a dishonest act.

-Candidates who are caught cheating will be given a ZERO mark for the paper.



I seriously cannot type out the rest for you guys already, very tiring. Oh, here are the main points.



Do not attempt to cheat.

Please bring a TRANSPARENT PENCIL CASE to mid-year exam.

Please bring your personal identification(E-Z link card).

Remove all slips of paper in your pencil case.
Make sure that you do not have your handphone(or any electronic devices other than chinese dictionaries during the exam. I suggest you put your wallet in your bag.)

No correction tape or fluid should be used in the examination.

Please look at your paper, do not look around, you may be accused of ATTEMPTING to cheat.

Please report 15 mins earlier before the exam(Suggested that you should report 30 mins earlier).
